Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We lived our XXX annual meeting in a climate of preparation for the Pauline Family’s Cente-nary of foundation, gratefully remembering the abundant riches the Lord poured out upon us through the person of our Founder, a true prophet of the new times.
This year too our assembly had a fresh and innovative note–the presence of the new governing teams of the Pious Disciples and Pastorelle Sisters.
The theme proposed for our reflection, The Development of the Pauline Family from 1971 to Today, underscored the fact that we continue the work of Blessed James Alberione–a subject presented from different perspectives by various people. We want to pass on to you what echoed among us during our fraternal exchanges of ideas but above all what reverberated in our hearts, namely: the profound desire to feel our family dimension and to respond to the plan of God by surmounting the problems and strains that may have clouded this gift.

From the 2nd to the 4th of January last, the community of Nogent sur Marne held a formative encounter with the theme: "Returning to the roots of our spirituality". Following the hermeneutical method and guided by Sr. M. Joseph Oberto, the sisters studied the letters of Mother Scholastica written from France during the time of the great trial (July 1946-March 1947). They entered into communication with the texts, welcoming the elements which have something to say to us for today, and which are in harmony with our Rule of Life. The assimilation was followed by personal reflection, group work and then a sharing in assembly. By using photos of the first sisters, the historical journey of our Congregation was retraced. To conclude the encounter, the sisters made a piligrimage to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart to pray and to ask for the gift of new vocations , just as Mother Scholastica and the first two sisters did when they came to Paris to begin the foundation.
The sisters write: " This formative meeting gave us the possibility to rediscover the simplicity and the greatness of our first Mother, Mother Scholastica Rivata, a beacon who illuminates us upon living and making our charism lived”. Photo gallery

On the 8th of January, as the Church in the Republic of Congo celebrated the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master together with the parish community of "Mother of the Saviour' Church in Lubumbashi hanno lived the joyful moment of the Perpetual Profession of Sr. M. Virginie Kiz. The parish from which Sr. M. Virginie comes, prepared for the event with catechesis on the meaning of religious consecration and with Eucharistic Adoration. The celebration was presided over by Mons. Denis Moto, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Lubumbashi. The parish priest and numerous other priests concelebrated for the event. The 'choir of the Angels' of which Sr. M. Virginie once was a member as a youth gave a special welcome and the parishioners joyously collaborated. Present for the celebration were family members of Sr. M. Virginie, members of the Pauline Family, friends and acquaintances. Many young people, who carry out the activities in the parish and are very dynamic in the diocese, gave their generous and joyful contribution ensuring that the celebration was a success. With the collaboration of all the sisters of the Colombia/Ecuador Province, one of the dreams of Sr. M. Blanca Sepulveda (1938-2011) has been brought about: a multifunctional conference room, set aside for Christian formative encounters for laity. For the inauguration of this new apostolic space, around 70 people gathered together in the Divine Master community in Bogotà.For the community it gives great joy to be able to continue the course of biblical-liturgical education for laity and for the Co-operator Friends of Jesus Master, an initiative which began back in 2002. With this new room, the course which is articulated in four levels can be allowed to develop and given a new quality. In fact, during the year, besides the lessons, it will be open to all laity who desire to use it, for monthly encounters with the Co-operator Friends of the Divine Master, days of retreat will be organised. We will also seek to involve the participants in a great way in our specific feastdays, for example, that of the Solemnity of the Divine Master. Photo gallery
