Congress of Catholic Youth in Samoa

Autalavau Tupulaga Samoa, the Catholic Youth Conference, was held in Upolo-Samoa (Pacific Island)  from 16th- 23rd July 2015, with the theme "The Holy Spirit and Evangelisation." This is the third time this Conference has been held, and the first time two Sister Disciples: Sr. Maria Amalamo and Sr. Maryanne Attard have been a part of it. It was open to Samoan youth from Western Samoa and American Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii and USA. This year a group also participated from the Tokelau Islands.

Monday, 27th of July, we began the trimester of preparation for Perpetual Profession, long-awaited by all of us juniors who come close to this new step in our life as Pious Disciples of the Divine Master.

From the 6th to the 17th of July in Ypacarai, Paraguay, the Biblical, Theological and Pastoral Centre for Latin America (CEBITEPAL) organised a seminar of formation of Biblical- Pastoral Animation for priests, religious and laity, pastoral workers and catechists.

On the 27th of July last, with the celebration of the Eucharist at 9.00 in the undercrypt in the Sanctuary of the Queen of the Apostles, the trimester of preparation for Perpetual Profession began. 15 Disciples of the Divine Master in temporary vows come from 9 countries throughout the world: Argentina, Korea, Philippines, India, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ukraine.

From the 16th to the 22nd of July, the newly founded group "Young Pauline Missionaries", composed of university students from the different provinces of Argentina, lived a missionary experience in the countryside of Colonia Hogar, Santa Catalina and Agua de las Piedras, Còrdoba. The young men and women were guided by the Pastoral Vocational team composed of Sr. Cecilia Fraile, pddm, Omar Tarditti, isga, and Giuseppe Michele Valverde Salazar, ssp, and accompanied by Fr. Rubén Darío Bergliafa ssp.

On July 11th, Feast of St. Benedict, patron of Europe and vigil of the birthday of Mother M. Scholastica, the Disciples of the Divine Master gathered in Athlone were happy to welcome a group of visitors, part of the Rise of the Roses National Tour to spend the time on a vocational promotion visit.
