On the 25th of August 2014, the Disciples of the Divine Master of the Province Philippines-Taiwan-Hong Kong recalled 58 years of foundation of the Congregation in the Philippines.
One month onwards from the beginning of the trimester in preparation for Perpetual Profession, our international community continues its journey.
Beginning from the awareness of our own personal story and that of the Congregation, a story of salvation, we experience the presence of God who is always faithful. Like the disciples of Jesus, we walk together along the itinerary of growth towards a total donation of our life.
On the 24th of August 2014, the two communities of the Disciples of the Divine Master gathered in the Chapel of Adoration, Athlone, to celebrate 50 years of fidelity in consecrated life of Sr. M. Casmir Mascarenhas.
From the 13th to the 17th August 2014, the annual Catholic youth festival “Youth 2000” took place in Mount Saint Joseph Abbey in Roscrea, Tipperary, Ireland.
The sisters and the novices of the Province of Brazil participated in the 22nd Annual Week of Intensive Formation, which in the last 22 years has proposed a growing itinerary of integration for the human, spiritual and apostolic dimensions of life. In the past years, themes have been treated regarding liturgy as the source of spirituality which, in its time, is manifested in its specific apostolate.
On the first Sunday of August, the Strathfield community of the Disciples of the Divine Master warmly welcomed a group of laypersons who would like to become Friends of the Divine Master.
“In his name, I come to you, in the joy of sharing with you the Gospel of love and of home"' -these are the words which Pop Francis addressed to the Koreans just a little while before his coming. After this, we waited for him with great joy at his visit, from the 14th to the 18th of August, with a programme which was very dense and strong.
The archdiocese of Seoul, entrusted to the Disciples of the Divine Master the confection of the chasubles and the stoles for the Holy Father, Bishops and priests in occasion of the beatification of the 124 Korean martyrs, KYD (Korean Youth Day) and AYD (World Day of Youth in Asia). Alongside this, Sr. M. Ester Hwang, member of the preparatory commission, made the furnishings for the altar for the celebration of the Beatification: the altar, the chair, the Cross, etc.
