Solemnity of Jesus Christ, Divine Master 2008

Sunday, 26th of October, in the Church of Jesus Master, Rome, the Solemnity of Jesus Christ, Divine Master, was celebrated by the members of the Pauline Family and friends with the celebration of the Eucharist which was presided over by His Excellency Gianfranco A. Gardin, Secretary of the CIVCSVA.
A particularly significant moment was the consignment of the renewed text of the Rule of Life and Directory of our Congregation. After the proclamation of the Gospel and the reading of the decree of approbration of the Rule of Life by Mons. Gardin, Sr. M. Regina Cesarato promulgated the Directory.
After this, she received the text from the hands of the Bishop and she handed it over to sisters who represented the Congregation present in the five continents. It is foreseen in this same day that all the Pious Disciples over the world will receive the Rule of Life and the Directory in its digital form. The new texts will enter into vigour beginning from the 26th of November 2008, memorial of Blessed James Alberione.
Repeating her gratitude to the Bishop and to those present, Sr. M. Regina concluded with these words; " We retain that the  Traditio Regulae from your hands, Excellency, on this Solemnity of the Divine Master, during the Pauline Year and at the conclusion of the Synod of Bishops on the Word of God, is a great gift and a commitment to live in Christ and in the Church as members living and active for the coming of the Kingdom of God in the world. Thank you”.

History of the Jesus Master Church

The Church of Jesus Master, like the other "pauline" churches - Temple of St. Paul and Church of Divine Master in Alba, Queen of Apostles in Rome - was expressly willed by the Blessed James Alberione, Founder of the Pauline Family. He asked the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master (PDDM) to carry out the construction of the Church within the premises of their convent in Via Portuense, himself indicating a simple oval sketch of the desired Church. The construction began in 1958-59.
In 1999, on the occasion of the 75° anniversary of Foundation of the PDDM Congregation, after completing the necessary re-construction of the Church, the sisters decided to open it to all the faithful as a way of sharing their mission to the people of God, and in a special manner to offer its space for the celebration of the Great Jubilee of the year 2000.
