50 years of religious consecration of Sr. M. Paulina Matamala Featured

"The Lord fills me with joy, my soul exults in my God"
On March 25th, 2017, the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the Chapel of the Divine Master in Santiago, Sr. Paulina Matamala celebrated 50 years of her religious consecration.

For the celebration the Sisters from the Chile Delegation participated as well as her family, friends of the Divine Master and other members of the Pauline Family, friends and faithful who attend the chapel, and the priests that accompanied this sister in her spiritual life. Don Roberto Valderrama, presided over the celebration with Fr. Edgardo Ojeda and Fr. Felipe Pardo as concelebrants. This was followed by a joyful moment of simple and fraternal sharing.

Sr. M. Pauline says the following:
With joy I thank the Lord for His infinite mercy and love he has given me in life as a Disciple of the Divine Master, for his call and all the graces He has given me in these 50 years of consecrated life.
I never thought about the religious life as a life option.
One afternoon, reading a magazine about the congregation, I thought: the sisters pray, have Holy Mass every day, when they want they go to confess, pray and assist priests in their needs. On the 6th of January 1964 at age of 25 I entered the Congregation.
I made the novitiate in Cordoba, Argentina and then the religious profession together with my companions on the 25th of March 1967.  It was on Easter Sunday. I received the name Maria Paulina. It was a good celebration that I always remember with love and gratitude to Jesus.
In these 50 years of consecrated life, I have served the Lord in the various services entrusted to me by the community. I grew in availability and followed it out with love, in inner freedom, to serve with joy the sisters and other people that I could listen to and help. The grace of the Lord has always supported me in everything. I ask pardon from Him, my sisters, to my family and to all the people who have been waiting for my service, for all that I did not do according to his will.
Thank you Jesus; Thanks sisters of my community! I thank my family, and all of you who share with me today my thanksgiving to the Lord for his love for me.
