 On Sunday morning, 20th of September 2009, the International Conference on the Mission (CIM) began in Casa Betania, Rome, with the celebration of the Eucharist in the Church of Jesus Master. During this first day of the Conference, Sr. M. Regina Cesarato, Superior General, in her report, deepened the general and specifi objectives of the Conference, underlining the importance in seeing this event as a form of co-responsible research and response to the apostolic challenges which the world poses to our Congregation. In the afternoon, some of the sisters made a short pilgrimage to the tomb of Blessed James Alberione. On the evening of the 19th, the partecipants enjoyed an atmosphere of welcome and reciprocal getting to know each other which was guided by Sr. M. Agar Coreno, general Councillor and General Bursar. Following this, Sr. M. Annunziata Pak, General Councillor and general co-ordinator of the Conference introduced the sisters to the work. We thank in anticipation, for the prayer of offering made by the sisters from the various parts of the world for this significant moment for our Institute.
