During this Easter season, the animation and the formation for liturgical ministry in the Parish of St. Therese in Toledo made a leap of quality.

On the 28th of April, a festival of religious songs took place. The texts and music were composed by parishioners, teenagers and adults. The idea for the festival was proposed by Sr M. Conchi Lopez pddm, together with the parish priest and other priests of the parish, as a response to the search to promote literary and musical creativity at the service of prayer and liturgy. Even though the proposal was taking steps forward with a certain shyness, the event was welcomed with enthusiasm. The response was sufficient enough to organise such an event. Among the songwriters who participated were four boys, a teenage girl, a mother, a father, a vicar from the Parish and Sr. M. Conchi. A youth choir was collaborating in the interpretation of the songs.

The texts of the songs were inspired by the Bible and expressed according to age, experience and personal devotion. The public, made up of relatives of the 'singer/songwriters' and parishioners energetically applauded them. The event, which was appreciated by all, resulted in a very positive experience encouraging faith and the celebration of the parish community, so much so that the parish council have proposed to hold the festival every year and to extend the invitation to the surrounding parishes.
