PDDM Poland: Day of retreat for the Friends of the Divine Master

From the 3rd to the 6th of May, the Friends of the Divine Master had their retreat in the House of Prayer at the Sanctuary of our Lady of Gietrzwałd (Olsztyn). The theme of the Exercises was "The Church and the Pauline Family are our home", in harmony with the programme of the current pastoral year of the Church in Poland. The Exercises were guided by Fr. Krzysztof Niespodziański, a priest from the Archdiocese of  Warmia. Sr. Miriam Łuszczek and Sr. M. Tekla Krewionek accompanied the group during this spiritual experience. Photo gallery

The priest, referring to the Pauline spirituality, underlined the necessity to cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Master, who is our Way, Truth and Life. On this journey, we are helped by Mary Most Holy and St. Paul the Apostle, who teach us love for the Church. The participants lived these days of prayer in silence, thus experiencing the encounter with Jesus Divine Master through the conferences and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, also during the night. They were guided by the Word of God, with the method of Lectio Divina, the celebration of the Way of the Cross and by sharing their experience of faith. At the end of the Exercises, the Disciples of the Divine Master from the community of Olsztyn joined the group for a moment of fraternity.

The news of this event was also publicised on the website of the Diocese of Warmia.
