On June 1, was remembered the 20th anniversary of the priestly home "Justin Villa" in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, where, from its beginning, the Disciples of the Divine Master assist resident priests. The celebration of the Eucharist was celebrated in the chapel of Justin Villa and presided over by Archbishop Denis Hart, Archbishop of Melbourne. The 15 resident priests, sisters and staff who work in Justin Villa were joined by the relatives and friends. Photo Gallery

On the eve of the anniversary a special dinner was attended by Archbishop Denis Hart, some of the builders and architects who helped with the construction, members of the Priests’ Retirement Foundation, and numerous priests from the archdiocese.

It was on the 1st of June 1992 when, together with the sisters, the first resident of Justin Villa, Fr. William Butler arrived at the hostel in Balwyn. Previously the Disciples of the Divine Master had administered the Priests Home "Moran House" in the same diocese, where they had been invited by Archbishop James Knox in 1972. It was the first project in the service of the retired diocesan priests undertaken by our Congregation.
