On the initiative of students of the Bible at the University Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski (PSFB), some students of theology at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology (PWT) and other people with a love for Sacred Scriptures, Lectio Divina on the Gospel according to St. Mark began in the Provincial House of the Disciples of the Divine Master in Warsaw. The weekly meetings are led by Sr. M. Judyta Pudelko. Photo gallery

The theme of the meetings is the complete reading of the Gospel according to Mark which is considered the gospel of the catechumens, which proposes the first step in the initiation of knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Each week participants gather together to listen to some Gospel passages, seeking to get inside the mind of the original text, comparing it with their daily life, but especially so as to fall in love with Jesus as is outlined for us by the evangelist Mark.

Lectio ends with a personal encounter with Jesus Master present in the Eucharist. Each participant, after having heard the Word of God, can remain in his presence and let the Word seep down into the depths of their hearts so as to open themselves to the light and grace, and to entrust to the Lord all the circumstances of their lives.
