
| PDDM India: Participation of Sr.Paulcy Thelakkadan at IASACT |

From the 9th of June to the 14 of July, Sr. M. Paulcy Thelakkadan (Indian Province) participated in a forum organised by the Institute for Advanced Study in Asian Cultures and Theologies (IASACT) in Hong Kong. It was an initiative of the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, associated to the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Sr. Paulcy was selected from 40 candidates. With her there were other 14 participants from different asian countries: India, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, continental China and South Korea. Photo Gallery Sr. M. Paulcy Thelakkadan was the only Catholic religious. The other participants were from different denominations and other religious backgrounds. Each of them presented his/her research paper in different field of study. The sister has presented hers on “Dynamics of Christian Discipleship and Guru-Sishya Relationship: A Comparative Study.” She had also an opportunity to attend an international conference on “Religions and Asian Public Life” in Hong Kong. The speakers and presenters were from various Asian countries. Sr. M. Paulcy was very happy to meet our Pddm community in Hong Kong and to spend some time with the sisters. During her stay there she was invited by Sr. M. Carmelin Timbol to give a talk in the Parish at Tsuen Wan which was very appreciated by the people. Sr. M. Paulcy Thelakkadan is grateful to Indian Province and to Dharmaram College for the encouragement and prayerful support during this unique and enriching experience. |
