PDDM India: First Profession

On the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the 15th of August, the sisters of the Indian Province rejoiced in welcoming a new member among the Disciples of the Divine Master. Sr. M. Suchita Xaxa pronounced her religious vows with her hand on the Gospel and her other hand on her heart. The celebration of the Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Patrasso Mundu, cssr and animated with songs of joy which rendered every moment of the celebration beautiful. The parents of the newly professed gathered together with the Disciples of the Divine Master to give thanks for the gift of the vocation of their daughter. Photo gallery

The 15th of August is a day which is particularly dear to the people of India, the day in which they commemorate the 65th anniversary of independence of the country. India was freed from English domination through the mediation of Mahatma Gandhi. All present sung together the National Antheme in memory of this event, during this celebration. The sisters remembered and prayed in a special way that the country would be blessed with peace, unity and prosperity.
