End of the Pauline Year, Maynooth 2009

Who are the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master?

Founded in 1924 in Italy by Blessed James Alberione (1884 -1971) we form part of the Pauline Family.
This is a family of priests, religious and lay people whose mission is: ‘to live and give Jesus Master to the world’.
We are a community born of the Eucharist, open to the newness of the Spirit and inserted within our socio-ecclesial context.

In religious profession we publicly assume the obligation of living this Rule of Life in communion with our sisters
and to fulfil our  mission at the service of the Eucharist, the Priesthood and the Liturgy.
Our communities are characterized by a strong prayer life,
assiduous labour and reciprocal love, lived in joy, silence and habitual recollection.

Our charism is lived out in missionary and multicultural communities of which we have two in Ireland,
one community in Dublin and another in Athlone.

We
are in the five continents and in 31 nations where we have Chapels of Perpetual Adoration.
There we are known as the ‘apostles of the Eucharist.’
Our prayer is for all people and we intercede for the media of social communication and for priests.
This prayer for priests is also expressed in our ministry of accompaniment of care and service at various stages of their lives.

Golden Jubilee of Sr. M. Paul O' Brien

On the 11th of July 2010, in the Chapel of the Divine Master, Dublin, the sisters of the Irish Delegation gathered with other members of the Pauline Family, relatives, friends and co-operators of the community to celebrate 50 years of fidelity of Sr. M. Paul O' Brien in religious life. The celebration of the Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Eamonn Monson, SAC, whom in his homily presented the analogy of the diamond as an instrument which God used to engrave his name on the heart of Sr. Paul with her vocation. A diamond is very hard and can cause great pain and wounds, so too can love, but it is worth risking. Sr. Paul shared her joy with the assembly to have arrived at this milestone, underlining the enormous support which she always received from her family and sisters.
