                                                                             Vocation stories: Sr. Florence

Country of origin: India

I was 25, when I discovered the call within me and responded.  “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole wide world, but suffers the loss of his soul?.” This was the ‘word’ that was insistently calling me to give due importance to my interior life. My choice to become religious, is not only for my own interior life, but to obtain the fruitfulness of a good interior life, for the church, for the good of all whom I meet.  It would not be exaggerating if I say there are ample opportunities in religious life to live this interior life.

Sister Disciples of the Divine Master is a wonderful means to attain such goal.  A hidden life, like that  of Blessed Virgin. Eucharistic Adoration is the first and foremost aspect that attracted me to this congregation; followed by the Priesthood and the liturgical apostolate. It is a life living at the presence of the Lord, representing the whole humanity by lifting them in prayers. In fact it is challenging to leave behind the world, but also amazing in following Jesus in the life of sacrifice.

Religious life is a wonderful means to attain holiness of life which is my only goal. My religious life as pious disciples not only makes me holy but makes me to radiate the light of holiness to the whole world in doing my Eucharistic-Priestly and Liturgical apostolate. This is how I proclaim Christ. In the words of our Blessed Founder,  “Live and give Jesus to the whole world.”
