The process for the Cause has reached the moment in which the Positio super vitutibus (deposition on the virtues) of the Servant of God Mother Scholastica Rivata is consigned to the Theologians for examination.  The volume of the Positio will be sent to nine Theological Consultants of the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints.  Each one of them will express his own votum (evaluation).  After the scheduled study time and the written formulation of the votum, which requires several months, the “Theological Congress” will be held.  The report of the Theological Congress, edited by the General Promoter of the Faith, will then be consigned for scrutiny by the Session of Cardinals and Bishops who are members of the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints.  The Cardinal Prefect will then relay the conclusions to the Supreme Pontiff for the final decision and the publication of the decree on the “heroic virtues”.  At this point, if the outcome is positive, the Servant of God is called Venerable.

Sr. M. Margherita Gerlotto (1899-1965), the first person to be “set apart” by Blessed James Alberione to begin the first community together with Mother Scholastica on November 21, 1923, spoke of her in this manner on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the Congregation:

“We do not put ourselves ahead, we acknowledge that we are nothing’, she would say. She prayed continually, gave of herself to all those in need, consumed herself for the priests, inculcated respect and prudence.  Her example was a continuous instruction.”

Questi sentimenti sono affidati ad alcuni scritti indirizzati a Suor M. Edvige Wronska, la prima Pia Discepola della Polonia, che aveva fatto il noviziato in Italia nel 1940-1941 e aveva un bel rapporto spirituale con Madre Scolastica.
Per la Pasqua del 1979 Madre M. Scolastica scriveva:

«Nell’ultima elezione del Capo della Chiesa ci è toccato in felicissima sorte il carissimo e santo Papa Wojtyla vostro compatriota polacco. Siamo assai grate a Dio per il preziosissimo dono fattoci e tutti i giorni preghiamo per lui, che ce lo conservi sempre incolume e sempre più Santo. Pregate anche voi per lui, affinché il demonio geloso non ne combini qualcuna».

Inviando, sempre a Suor M. Edvige, una immagine del Papa, la Serva di Dio esortava:

«Vogliamogli tutti e tutte molto bene. Aiutiamolo colla preghiera. Il Signore lo protegga sempre ad ogni istante, perché ci ottenga da Dio la salvezza di tutti».

Quasi rispondendo a questo affettuoso interessamento verso la sua persona, il giorno 8 aprile 1981, dopo la Celebrazione eucaristica nella sua cappella privata, alla quale hanno partecipato le Pie Discepole del Divin Maestro a conclusione del III Capitolo generale, il beato Giovanni Paolo II, con gesti più eloquenti di ogni parola, “dialoga” con la Serva di Dio Madre M. Scolastica Rivata che vive un momento di intensa gioia con “il dolce Cristo in terra”, protesa a invocare su di lui sempre la protezione del Signore.
