{"id":23931,"date":"2024-07-11T23:00:25","date_gmt":"2024-07-11T21:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pddm.org\/?p=23931"},"modified":"2026-01-23T11:15:04","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T10:15:04","slug":"sr-127th-birthday-12072024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pddm.org\/en\/sr-127th-birthday-12072024\/","title":{"rendered":"127th birthday"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;24px&#8221;][vc_column_text]The Word of the Lord today reminds us to trust in Him, regardless of the situation in which we find ourselves.\u00a0 Let us not delude ourselves: the one who follows Jesus Master will, sooner or later, encounter difficulties, perhaps even persecution, but God will never abandon us.\u00a0 He asks us, however, to be <em>\u201cprudent as serpents and simple as doves\u201d.\u00a0 <\/em>Such was the life of Venerable Mother Maria Scholastica Rivata, whose 127th anniversary of birth we are celebrating today.\u00a0 Let us give thanks to the Divine Master for having given her to our Congregation and to the Church, and we pray that her sanctity of life may soon be recognized.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Listening her voice:<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-23931-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pddm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Madre-Scolastica-contenta.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pddm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Madre-Scolastica-contenta.mp3\">https:\/\/www.pddm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Madre-Scolastica-contenta.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>D: Excuse me, one other thing\u2026 Were you always content?<\/em><br \/>\n<em> R: Always.\u00a0 Always, always, always.<\/em><br \/>\n<em> D: Even when there were difficulties?<\/em><br \/>\n<em> R: There were many difficulties, that only the Lord knows!\u00a0 I passed through times of anguish that I was able to overcome only through the grace of God.\u00a0 But I never doubted my vocation for a moment.\u00a0 There was never an indecisive moment to say: should I continue?\u00a0 Go ahead?\u00a0 Never! I said it, and thus it will be.\u00a0 Even if I should have to die for my vocation, it doesn\u2019t matter to me!
