O men that I have created and have not abandoned?<\/em><\/p>\n

O men you are your own ruin, but also my creature,<\/em><\/p>\n

O men, what fear do you have of dying?<\/em><\/p>\n

Here, I die,<\/em><\/p>\n

here, I suffer;<\/em><\/p>\n

here, what you feared, fear no longer,<\/em><\/p>\n

because I will show you for what you are to hope\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

This is precisely what he did,<\/em><\/p>\n

he showed us the resurrection toward eternity:<\/em><\/p>\n

he pointed the Evangelists toward this in their writings,<\/em><\/p>\n

and the Apostles preached it throughout the entire world.<\/em><\/p>\n

Through faith in this resurrection, the holy martyrs were not afraid to face death,<\/em><\/p>\n

although they were afraid to die;<\/em><\/p>\n

it would have been, however, a worse death if they had denied Christ.<\/em><\/p>\n

And is denying Christ not the same as denying life?<\/em><\/p>\n

What folly it is to love life and to deny life!<\/em><\/p>\n

Here, then, the resurrection of Christ broadens the horizons of our faith.<\/em><\/p>\n
