Completion of Bachelor of Nursing – A Milestone Achieved
Sr. Anita D’Souza shares her reflection after her Graduation in Bachelor of Nursing which took place in Melbourne, the 17th of July:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
“I am pleased to share the successful completion of my Bachelor of Nursing degree—a significant academic milestone. This journey has been one of growth, perseverance, and deep learning, both in the classroom and in clinical environments across Victoria.
First and foremost, I give thanks to God, whose guidance and blessings have sustained me throughout this journey. In moments of challenge and uncertainty, it was His strength that carried me through.
Over the course of my studies, I carried out clinical placements in a variety of healthcare settings across Victoria. These experiences not only enhanced my clinical skills and decision-making but also deepened my understanding of holistic, patient-centred care. Balancing academic commitments, professional placements, employment, and community responsibilities was at times demanding—but it also taught me discipline, compassion, and resilience.
This degree has not only prepared me to practice as a competent and ethical nurse but has also shaped me into a more empathetic and well-rounded individual. It is a testament to the power of perseverance, faith, and the support of those who walk alongside us.
As I now transition into professional practice, I remain committed to lifelong learning and to upholding the highest standards of nursing care. I look forward to contributing to the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities with integrity, humility, and dedication.
Thank you to all who have supported me on this path, especially the Sisters of the Delegation, for your spiritual companionship and prayers. To my beloved family and friends, your constant encouragement and prayers have been a pillar of strength.
I look ahead with gratitude and readiness to embrace new challenges, offering my dedicated service in support of the priestly ministry.”
We wish Sr. M. Anita every blessing in her generous service!
